I love the concept of Wabi Sabi. Wabi-sabi is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and accepting the natural cycle of growth.. Wabi-sabi is flea markets and thrift stores, not big box stores; it's aged wood, not laminate..It's natural fibers, not polyester. Wabi sabi celebrates cracks, fading and chipped paint, and all the other marks that time, weather, and use leave behind. Through wabi-sabi, we learn not just to accept rust, and frayed edges, but to embrace them and the march of time they represent.
