About

Ahoy-hoy! I'm Caitlin, the creator/Director of Cool of The Paper Posy. Well, Director of Cool may be a stretch. Director of All Things Nerdy may be a more accurate portrayal. I can seriously obsess over some Doctor Who, paper, and teacups. I love teacups! And paper. Of course I love paper! Stationary, gift wrap, or scrapbook--you name it. I love the different weights, smells, and textures associated with each different type of paper.

I started folding origami as a child during summer beach trips. Thanks to a creative grandmother, my sister and I always had lots of crafts to choose from, and I almost always chose origami. The first origami topiary wasn't born, however, until February of 2011 when a gentleman came into the art studio and requested an "origami bush". When he told me a story about his girlfriend misnaming a Bonsai tree an origami bush, I knew I was going to enjoy this. After some pondering, I designed and developed the first origami topiary, and I have been making them ever since.

A little bit Lewis Carroll and a little bit Dr. Seuss, my topiaries are a whole lot of whimsy and fun. Perfect for a gift to make someone smile. but just grounded enough to tie together a table as a centerpiece for a wedding or dinner party.

Let your imagination run free, and enjoy the shop.

Cheers,
Caitlin
