"Making you smile-that's my style!"

Hola! I'm Maria Teresa - yes, you'll need to roll those r's to pronounce my name correctly! I love creating happy things! I am a wife and mom living in beautiful Southern California. I've been told I am a perky person, hence the name, "The Perky Poet". There is nothing as special as a item that has been handmade with love and care! I've loved making everything you find in my boutique, down to every last detail. You'll find most of my items are "cute and colorful". I enjoy rhyming - writing poems is so much fun! Oh, and I adore my wonderful hubby, family, and dog "Sabio" (best doggy ever..really!) I thank and praise my awesome Lord Jesus for all His blessings - He makes each day beautiful. JOHN 3:16

Some other things I love too (I have so many, these are just a few):…

Some other things I love too (I have so many, these are just a few):
* To look and listen to the beautiful birdies early in the morning - or anytime really!
* The smile of a child that can make us remember what's really important.
* A pat on the shoulder that tells us someone cares.
* The lovely classic sitcoms and movies of yesteryears.
* Listening to someone older and wiser share their life stories.

And remember that the best gift you can give someone is the gift of "your time". Don't ever pass up the opportunity to greet someone or lend a hand. And when you bump into someone who has the misfortune of being homeless: STOP, say hello. And yes, offer them a little cash or a meal when you are able to. And when you are not - spend a little time in prayer with them. JAMES 2:8 - Love your neighbor as yourself.

"Be content with a little and be grateful when you are blessed with a lot!" :)
