About

We are two sisters and a brother who hike and travel together gathering photos of the immense and endless beauty throughout the US.

Joni: The quintessential middle child, I headed right for the wild, wild west after graduating from Wellesley College in 1971. The Rocky Mountains are the home of my heart. And the blue skies of Arizona have nurtured my soul since 1979. Education has been my vocation—whether practiced as a classroom teacher, an interpretive ranger, or a writer.

I possess a Master’s degree in Environmental Education, a life-long devotion to the Earth, a deep loyalty to family and friends, and a commitment to the ideals of inclusion and justice.

Craig: I became interested in photography in high school and studied the basics at North Georgia Technical School. I currently work in a large photo processing lab and have been a ‘lab rat’ for most of my working years. I have shot my share of weddings, but my true love is nature, both photographically and spiritually. Since completing a one-year sabbatical, traveling the US in an old VW camper and photographing over 150 national park sites, many major cities, and everything in between, I’ve settled in the foothills of the southern Appalachian Mountains and now divide my time between friends and family, including my five grandsons.

Debbie: Currently and for the last thirty-five years I have lived in Atlanta, Georgia, though I’m a New Englander by birth and ever in my heart. I’ve worked in libraries, both academic and public, for twenty-five years and am hoping to be awakened by the songs of birds rather than the alarms of clocks within the next few years. I also hope to re-invent myself in the mountains, in the southwestern desert, or by the sea…as a photographer and artist, a crafter, now a blogger. I am always, with great love and gratitude, a mother and grandmother.
