It was once said to me by a good friend of ours “You don’t see things the way the rest of us do, do you?” I just smiled and went on with what I was doing. That statement pretty much sums me up. I don’t see things as others do. When I look at things I see what they can be. If it doesn’t jump out at me, I continue to look until I find it. I have brought many things home knowing full well that there is something more to it then just a stick. A rock isn’t just a rock.

My dad was my inspiration and loosing him in August has brought me back to me. The need to loose myself in something, not to think of my loss. He taught me to love everything, except dishes and I have even learned to enjoy them, now that I…

He taught me to love everything, except dishes and I have even learned to enjoy them, now that I have a window to peer out of as I wash. I love - swamps, water, the woods, fields, snow, rain, gray days, the sun, sunrises and sunsets, leaves in the summer and twigs in the winter, old, new, and I make the best of a day in the city. There is a time and a place for everything.

My mind never rests. While getting ready for my out of body experience (my 7 – 3:30 corporate job), I am thinking of what I can make next. As I head out for my out of body experience, driving down the road, seeing things and wondering how I can use them. At the end of the day as I head back to me, I am seeing and thinking the same things. If I can keep up with me, you will see my love of nature in my work. In the summer, as short as it is up here, I take advantage of what is available and in the winter while snow-shoeing I collect things as well.

I love to write, countless hours of meanderings. My brother once said “I wish I could write like that.” I simply said you can, you have to write the truth from your heart.

I make everything - lotion from scratch (no lotion base here) to wall hangings, from make-up to candles and cookies to tomatoes. I bake, make candy, love to cook and preserve things, machine stitch and hand stitch. You’re apt to find thread in my jelly and jelly in my thread (not really). I have tried and concord a multitude of things, some I really enjoyed and others not so much. I love to learn new techniques, there is always more to learn. I have two forms – one is contained and one is free.

I believe you can do anything if you really want, there is a reason for everything and I don’t believe - “It is, what it is!” I believe it is what you make it.

I love to donate and give gifts; I love to see others smile. I really believe giving is better then getting. Not that I don’t love to get.
