Welcome To Modern Macrame's,

I have many creative passions, but two come to the forefront, macrame and knitting, since that is only how much time will allow me to do at the moment! I really enjoy coming up with the designs and using various twines and beads to create what you see in my store. I love to visualize where it will hang, what it will go with and what kind of planter bowls, terrariums or fruit bowls it will hold! (The options are endless)!

I started making macrame's when I was a teenager in Cape Town, South Africa. After I had mastered the various knots I continued making them as a hobby. The stock began to mound up and through a connection with my dad, I started selling and supplying macrame's to the local Garden Centres.

Our family now lives in Vancouver, Canada and over the years between working full time and bringing up our children I made macrames here and there.

When I started up again I wanted to make them different, put a more fresh and modern spin on them than the regular traditional macrame, and so I started "stocking" them again with the aim to make enough to go to craft markets! In between this my daughter showed me ETSY! And so this is what you see in my store today and there is lots more to come!

My one daughter that introduced me to Etsy is just as active on Etsy. See www.madebylinlin.etsy.com and www.backwardrevolution.etsy.com

Custom orders are welcome! Thank you for viewing my store! Come back anytime!
