About

Starting life on a farm as number six of eight children – I can remember having meat in the salt box; a wringer washing machine vibrating the back porch; the hum of a peddle sewing machine; the smell of fresh cut hay; lots baby chickens and kittens; cutting kindling with an ax; carrying in coal; eating fresh tomatoes out in the garden; picking plums, apples, poke salad; wild blackberries; the sound of water bubbling from the creek; mom killing rattlesnakes with a hoe; playing sock ball; singing in the swing and the list could go on forever. We used and reused 'any and every thing' that could be…. Although many years have passed and life is different – I think my enjoyment of redoing and refurbishing came from the farm. My hope is that you can enjoy the antique; vintage; and painted furniture… as I strive to have my pieces evoke fond memories of past times.
