Hello and welcome to SUDSATORIUM, a super fantastic little shop dedicated to crafting quality fair trade organic vegan cruelty-free cosmetics.

With the glut of cosmetics companies in today's marketplace, it can often be very confusing to know what product is best for you. Before you go out and buy the first thing you see on the shelf, think about this: our skin is the single largest organ in our body. Everything you put on your skin is absorbed through your pores so it makes sense that you know exactly what you're exposing yourself to.

At the Sudsatorium we have a rigorous evaluation process that involves testing every ingredient we use for purity, effectiveness, and known or suspected health concerns. We provide only the safest organic vegan skin care, hair, and body products, which are free of toxic ingredients, synthetics, fragrances, preservatives, are not tested on animals, are Fair Trade and are ethically sourced to ensure they come from sustainable, renewable sources.

WASTE NOT WANT NOT

Going au natural and reducing our carbon footprint is what we strive to do with all of our products. At the end of the day all packaging is pointless waste, destined for the trash bin and eventually onto landfills where it pollutes the environment. Packaging generates an enormous amount of waste with millions upon millions of tonnage ending up in the landfill each year. It is our mission to help educate the public to this growing epidemic and to hopefully persuade others to follow suit.

SETTING YOU FREE (from pointless packaging)

We would rather spend our time focusing on what goes into our beautiful, innovative products; not on what they'll be packed in. What we mean is that whenever possible, we opt to do away with unnecessary packaging and instead offer our products in their natural state.

Naturally, this approach isn't always feasible – like with our lovely liquid shampoos and shower gels. When we can’t eliminate waste completely, we look to find the simplest forms of packaging to do the job and use 100% BPA-free post-consumer or post-industrial recycled materials that are 100% recyclable, compostable and/or biodegradable.

DESIGNED WITH THE EARTH IN MIND

The Sudsatorium EcoDesign demonstrates our commitment to ecological sustainably. EcoDesign reduces carbon emissions and packaging waste. All of our bottles and jars come from 100% BPA-Free Post Consumer recycled plastics.

We ship all of our orders out to our beloved customers in recycled cardboard boxes and keep them safe and secure with biodegradable (and edible!) corn packing peanuts (made from the same stuff you pop up in the microwave on movie night!)

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

We take tremendous care when it comes to sourcing all of our raw materials. We believe our buying power, combined with that of other cosmetic companies out there, has the ability to affect positive change. We only purchase from certified suppliers that respect the rights of animals, the environment, and most importantly the people within their community.

SAFETY FIRST

We care deeply about both the quality of our products and the safety of our customers. We refuse to buy any ingredient from any manufacturer or supplier that tests anything on any animals for any reason whatsoever. The truth is that there are already thousands of ingredients that have a long history of safe use in bath and body products that have already been certified for their safety in cosmetic applications. Scientific progress has also stepped up by developing new, proven non-animal testing procedures that are not only more ethically sound, but more effective and cost-efficient as well.

FAIR TRADE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

We also believe that the words “Fair Trade” are more than just a marketing slogan. Buying Fair Trade Shea butter from Ghana and other Fair Trade commodities contributes to sustainable change in developing nations by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers.

FRESH FROM THE GARDEN

Our focus is always on making beautiful, highly effective products from scratch using only fresh flowers, fruit and vegetables gathered from local gardens and farmers, which we squeeze, squash, and infuse into our lovely bases made using only vegan-friendly raw materials and the finest essential oils from all corners of the world. At the end of the day, this all makes for beautiful results which we are extremely proud to call our own!

HARD WORK PAYS OFF

But why go through all of that hard work when other companies simply use synthetics to replicate the results? Great question imaginary person! It's because nothing compares to the real thing! Mother nature put a lot of effort into growing that lovely bunch of coconuts, packed with natural hair strengthening protein and skin-loving nutrients, so we feel it is only fair that we show our appreciation by using them in every which way we can. The same goes for all of the other fruit, veg, and flora we use. That might not seem all that important, but trust us, you can definitely tell the difference in the end product!
