Coral Armour's Profile

About

Raised in the California sun and sea, fairy tale believer and single mother to a 6 year old super hero. In school full time studying fine art. I do freelance prop fabrication from time to time and I'm up for hire in the Los Angeles area. I've made props for The Hub series Clue and most recently worked on set for David LaChapelle's music video for Florence + The Machine "Spectrum"

When I was a kid, I fully believed I was a mermaid. Inspired by fairy tales, ghost stories and white magic. I am an INFP personality type.

My wish for 2014 is to be discovered by Martha Stewart or anyone for that matter. But I've got my hands full at the moment, so I'm happy. I love my customers and people who drop in from time to time just to give a few encouraging words and to say kind things about what I create, even if they aren't buying at the moment…

Everything in my shop came from my clever little brain. Not by browsing other shops on Etsy and thinking 'Hey I can make that!' and replicating other people's inspiration by buying the supplies, gluing them together, copying tags, item titles/descriptions and materials. I admire the world of handmade and find it so inspiring. But I don't feel it's all up for grabs to be copied. Because I am a self-taught artist, I take a lot of pride in my ideas and execution of them. There! I said it.
