Christopher and Claudia Lucas' Profile

About

The Unicursal Path Wearable Art Design and Accessories came about through the combined efforts and aesthetic talents of a husband and wife team who have called the Pioneer Valley home or most of their lives. The Pioneer Valley, a three county area of Western Massachusetts along the Connecticut River, Christopher and Claudia. have always had an appreciation for the visual arts and an abiding interest in gemstone crafting. They see beauty in simplicity, the remarkable in the seemingly unremarkable. And instead of going about life at breakneck speed, from goal to goal and objective to objective, not paying any attention to the inbetween, they aspire to find inspiration in the everyday world which too often goes unnoticed - knowing there is nothing unremarkable about the world in which they live.

As a creative team, they challenges themselves and those around them to open their lives to the extraordinary an embrace the higher powers and metaphysical realms are all right in front of us all to be seen, touched and explored. Together, Christopher and Claudia use whatever they has at hand, adding some imagination, and striving to create pieces of heirloom value that will be treasured for years and generations to come.

They entreat visitors to "enjoy" touring their little shop. "Perhaps you, will find something that "speaks" to you in an ephemeral sense, come across something that enriches your day to day life or perhaps you'll find something special to share with someone else! The jewelry and items we create are special to us, and I hope they will be special to you. If a piece speaks to you, let us know! If a piece *almost* speaks to you - as they sometimes can - send us a message and we'd be happy to work with you to see if we can design something more to your preferences. Custom orders are always welcome."

In the spring, summer and fall months, Chris and Claudia can be found scavenging tag sales, barn sales and estate sales for a variety of items which can be upcyled into new creations, following their ideal of recycling and repurposing items thereby reducing their carbon footprint and embracing environmentally friendly alternatives to waste.

In their day to day lives, Christopher and Claudia operate a small farm in Southampton, Massachusetts which they share with their chickens, horses, a very 'entitled' cat and two very spoiled goats. "We believe in practicing a self-sustainable, kind, simple and 'green' lifestyle which offers a healthier, environmentally friendly alternative to factory farmed and large corporation managed businesses."
