About

We are C.L.A.W.S. which stands for Cat Lovers Alliance for Welfare and Sterilization, founded and est in 1992 and is a tax exempt org. We are 501c3 and any donation is tax exempt.

100% of proceeds from sales, less materials are used to help support the rescue.

Our kitties are displaced ferals, special needs, mal contents with issues and behavior problems.
We don't need anything from the kitties but to enjoy their little lives and do their kitty things in a safe environment as long as they live.

While most of our kitties are for various reasons unadoptable, we do have some kitties looking for forever homes. All kitties are fixed, tested and vaccinated. It is our policy to retest before being released to a new forever home…

Convo me if you would like to learn about "Picnic". She was the heart and soul of our rescue and our mission. She is still our heart.
She represented everything that drives us to keep doing this.

Our current project is TNR at the County Fairground/convenience center aka, the dump)!
We keep the office at the center supplied with cat food and the guys keep the cats that have been TNRd fed. This is a very rural area so there are a number of structures in the immediate area where they can shelter.

We are releasing two more kitties today (5/1) and hand raising a tiny newborn that we retrived from one of the dumpsters. Shes a little calico and still had the umbilical cord attached when we pulled her from the dumpster. Shes a character already! Her name is Annie. In 3 weeks we have trapped and spayed/neutered 8 kitties and will be trapping again Sunday night to hopefully get the last two.....that we know of!

We are passionately dedicated to spay/neuter, TNR, and animal welfare education. We promote these practices vigorously as shelters, animal controls, or dead end roads on river banks are not the solution for anyone..certainly not the kitties.

We make a difference one life at a time or one little cat family at a time.

Large dogs also find a home as they are all too plentiful and under valued in the country. We have 7 very large dogs at the time, each with its hard luck beginning.

This is who we are and what we do.
