Joan Young's Profile

About

Julia Child once said when talking about France that she came to believe that " I must really be French - only no one had ever informed me of this fact. I loved the people, the food, the lay of the land, the civilized atmosphere and the generous pace of life there. I saw no reason to leave, ever." I feel exactly the same way and I try to spend as much time in France as possible. I was once a photographer and then many years later, became a pastry cook. When not browsing in brocantes or flea markets, I love the daily farmers markets where the fresh produce is so good that it requires almost no embellishment.
