I grew up in an Army family with five kids, two parents, and an assortment of cats, dogs, birds, fish, mice and cows. I was born in Illinois but have always called Virginia home--it is where my parents were born and raised and where we always returned when Dad went to war.

When I married my college sweetheart, I moved to Brooklyn, New York and acclimated myself to a life-changing church and my intense Italian neighborhood! My only daughter, my favorite child, was born there and subsequently nicknamed herself "Baggione" to compensate for her boring name.

After some years, we returned to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains so that we could be more involved with our families. It is a side benefit that we also get honked at less in traffic! I completed my Master's in Christian Education, taught and principaled in local schools, and discovered that even a non-artist like myself could have loads of fun with rubber stamps and lots of ink!
