Allison Vaughn's Profile

About

As John Muir said, "going to the woods is going home." I prefer to spend my time in restored woodlands in the Ozarks and I take my cue for embroidery projects from the natural history before me. My mother taught me how to embroider, beginning with the pattern of little bluebirds with banners in their beaks. I love the idea that my own love of natural history and my mother's favorite craft can find a place on a dinner table or in a bedroom.
