I learned to knit & crochet when I was very young, playing around with materials that were around me. I appreciate vintage items, good craftsmanship and long lasting products. As well as nature, I am very much influenced by native american art, pagan & celtic myths.

all the OOAK jewelry in my shop is handmade by myself in a precious delicate work creating unique pieces that organically form to compliment the gemstones. this is why no piece of jewelry is ever quite like the next. it is always a surprise to me when a necklace forms out of a piece of stone.

Gemstones need a little treatment once in a while. By their nature they absorb the energy around them and if they are not treated right they can crack, fade or simply disappear...

one of the most common ways that are used to clear gemstones is by soaking them in salt water.
Do NOT attempt to do this as the salt will eat the silver chain and ruin your item.

my solution is to buy some kind of quartz colony or a selenite crystal and to store the necklace on it. The quartz will clear your stone and will be a beautiful stand for display. once in a while rinse it with water - unless it is a raw calcite/ malachite/ azurite.

the black material used is oxidized silver. this coal blackness will wear off over time (if you keep it well the black color might never fade), giving the necklace a beautiful washed look. I do not recommend to repeat the process of oxidization because in most cases this will ruin the gemstone.

to maintain the black color you may pour a tiny amount of natural oil/wax that you like on your hands and rub the silver in it.
