I am a self taught artist living in New Mexico. I grew up in Riderwood, Maryland
just north of Baltimore. Spending hours in the woods by myself was my favorite
thing to do.
I paint very large paintings and murals, I draw, sew, garden and enjoy doing big
projects around the house. I'm always working on a couple of projects and ideas
at the same time with paint, wire, clay, cloth and dirt.

Most sculptures are one continuous piece that is spot soldered and lightly hammered for strength. I used to be fanatic about making my sculptures with one piece of wire but now I make the bulk of the sculpture with one piece and add more pieces for extra detail. Characters are often soldered together to create a humorous story.
They are flat to hang on the wall, free standing or set on a wood stand.
The wire is raw or painted with a flat black. Brass wire is often added.

I was featured on “Reading Rainbow”, the PBS syndicated children’s program titled “Galimoto”, making my wire sculptures using one continuous piece of wire. They have been shown in galleries around the country.
