About

My name is Ingeborg. My husband Wolf and I live on a small farm in Oregon, USA.We raise sheep and alpacas for their wool and fiber ( www.timberwolffarm.com ).
We are practicing low-impact agriculture. That means we do not employ heavy machinery, we do not apply herbicides, insecticides or any other "cides". Only if an animal is sick we will administer medications.
Some of the wool processing we do right here on the farm and some is done in a local fiber mill. We do our own shearing, skirting and washing of the fleeces. Most spinning is done in the fiber mill. Recently - to enlarge the variety of colors - we started using chemical dyes from the "Greener Shades" brand. These dyes are non chrome, non heavy metal acid dyes that have been specifically formulated for superior light and wash fastness. They conform to the Organic Trade Association's standards for Organic Fiber Processing.
I card the batts myself on a manual drum carder.
All products in our shop are made by myself using the wool and fiber from our animals . As you browse the shop you will meet our sheep and alpacas. They will be pictured along with the items that were made using their fleeces.

I am also a bobbin lace maker and you'll find some of my hand made lace in this shop and also in the miniature shop. For the lace I am using cotton and linen thread.
