Tina Francis' Profile

About

Hi, thanks so much for visiting my shop. After a lengthy career as a graphic artist I am now happily working in my studio full time creating my visions in clay. My husband and I recently moved from the beautiful countryside of Virginia to the San Franciso Bay area and are having a wonderful time exploring our beautiful new home with our two very cool mixed labs.

My clay sculptures include beads, colorful flowers, mermaids, sun faces and figures for the garden. During the Christmas holidays my studio fills with all kinds of angels.

Glazes are painted on in multiple layers and fired several times. I like to give each piece, whether a sculpture or a piece of jewelry, its own unique personality therefore no two are ever identical.

I love to make beads so much that they take over the studio! I hand form beads from clay, glaze, fire them several times and turn them into very intricate or very simple necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Inspired by nature, many beads are made by impressing real leaves, flowers and shells into the clay.

I'm happy to announce the opening of my new bead shop on Etsy, TinasBeadMind. Please have a look:
