Trust me. I know mid century modern. I lived it. Thanks to the influence of my elegant mother, an avid collector, I was introduced at an early age to iconic designers from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Early on, I worked for Georg Jensen at the Fashion Center in the NYC Metro Area and jewelry designer Betty Cooke in her shop, The Store LTD in Baltimore. I also worked for Hutzlers, a legendary Baltimore department store. As a result, I developed an appreciation and a passion for beautifully designed, modern jewelry, clothing and objects in porcelain, stoneware, silver and bronze.
Now, after a 25+ year career in marketing and public relations, and as many years raising two twenty-something offspring, I finally have time to devote to my numerous and varied guilty pleasures: photography, travel, graffiti; mosaic, collage, calligraphy; hand-crafting wearable art in fiber, metal, and…
