My work is abstract expressionism using glass and metal instead of paint and canvas.
Although I love all forms of jewellery making, my specialty is enamelling. The process of enamelling involves firing very finely ground glass (vitreous enamel) onto a copper or silver base at approximately 1500 degrees. That's hot!
All Torched Studio items are handmade by me. Each piece is unique.
I have been making and selling jewellery for well over ten years. I also further honed my craft by graduating from the George Brown College jewellery program in 2008.
I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible by using only vinegar and salt in my enamelling instead of Sparex.
