Jeff Traver, along with his wife Debbie, has been in the sheep business since 1970 promoting the attributes of lamb meat and wool has been a lifelong tradition and quest for us. In 1999 we began raising merino sheep! Jeff is the 2008 Dutchess County Sheep & Wool Growers Association Shepherd of the Year.

We are the proud producers of the 2008 National Champion Merino Ram. His offspring grace our flock every spring and fall!

Traver Midnight Merinos has a strong presence in our farming community. We have participated in local 4-H clubs to promote farming to the next generation. Jeff is the historian for the American Delaine Merino Association and has served on the DCSWGA board for almost 20 years.
