About

The name Treasures of Grace came out of my love of the rosary. The shop came about from my love of antique and vintage jewelry. I enjoy searching for and purchasing vintage pieces. Then a few years ago I learned to make jewelry and rosaries. Although my tastes are eclectic, I am partial to anything with genuine gemstones. I also love boxes. When I see a box, I always wonder if I will find a treasure inside or what treasure it held in the past.

I come by my love of art and jewelry from my parents. Both my parents were tailors. My mom used to make all my clothes when I was a child, and knitted. She loved all things related to jewelry, especially antiques. We would go antiquing on the weekends.

Selling jewelry must be in my blood because as a child, instead of having a lemonade stand my sister and I decided we would sell my mother's jewelry. We were so excited and placed a stand out front of our house while my parents were at work, while our older sister was in the house. We took all my mothers fine jewelry and sold it for pennies. When my older sister found out she went around the neighborhood to buy back the jewelry we sold. Unfortunately, she never did get all of it.

I love anything poodles. My beloved dog Peppie was a poodle. I learned so much from him about unconditional love. He was sick for a long time so he also taught me how to be gracious and grateful. He was my best friend and I miss him greatly. Being here on Etsy helped me throughout his sickness and now it gives me another purpose.
