About

Hey! Why don't you stay and chat awhile?

About Me...
My name is Deb, and I live in El Paso, Texas. Much of my inspiration comes from the bright colors of my city and the wonderfully interesting shapes of the desert Southwest, which is truly magical.

I've studied fine art and graphic design, and I strive to reflect both in my work. Besides clay, favorite mediums include acrylic, pastel, and ink. I've also worked with tortillas (!) which was just pure fun. My daughter introduced me to plugs, which I consider little gems of wearable art!

About Polymer Clay...
While I've worked with many mediums over the years, I love clay because of the the color, the flexibility, the chance to let my imagination run wild - but mostly because I can get my hands in direct contact with the clay. It's tactile and forever surprising. I use artist-quality clay that is lightweight and flexible after curing, which makes it perfect for stretched lobes. Polymer clay is perfectly suited for fully healed ears, but should never be used to stretch!

About the Process...
I make each piece you see completely by hand, starting with custom colors and patterns in small quantities. Several pairs of earrings can be made from one blend, but once it is gone it's impossible to recreate exactly (though similar blends may be requested), so you can be assured that your earrings are truly one of a kind! The finished pieces are either hand buffed or finished with a glaze for shine and a silky feel.

About Custom Orders...
Some sizes can be modified, some designs can be duplicated with slight variations, and I love doing custom work! If you'd like a different size, color, or style, please contact me and I'll get to work creating something special just for you.
