Welcome to True Story Photography!

I got into photography almost by accident. Some years back I started really getting into hiking, kayaking and other outdoor adventures, but my friends were more of the indoor type. Since they weren't going with me, photography was my way to share the things that I'd seen from the comfort of their air conditioned living rooms.

As time went on It became increasingly obvious that getting great pictures on my trips was as important to me as the trips themselves. I couldn't wait to edit and upload to myspace and facebook, wallpaper my cube with images that could take me away to another place and time, and secretly wait for someone to walk by my desk and ask me about my newest addition.

Years later I look back at those early photos that I thought were so great, and I see the flaws, but I also remember every trip and every story that goes along with it.

Those true stories are what I still look for when I'm out shooting, and why I still love it!
