UPDATE: I went to change all of this because it was so outdated but seeing the contrast made me smile so I decided just to add commentary.

I'm 24 (okay, as of the time of this writing I'm 23 years and 362 days old, it's close enough) and just bought my first house. It's a whirlwind as the house is a foreclosure that used to belong to hoarders and therefore is a complete, well, let's put it nicely and say "project".

UPDATE: I'm 26 now and do not own a house any longer. My father took over the project in May 2017 so that I could move to Antarctica! He just let me know yesterday he finished the back porch. I probably won't purchase it back from him when I get home, but it's an option. Either way, I won't be living there - I'd rent it out if I went that direction…

I live alone with my two cats, Pickle (Nebelung mutt) and Pepper (Bengal), although, during all these renovations Pickle is living with my mom and Pepper is living with my sister while I stay at my boyfriend's apartment. I miss my babies dearly and hope to reunite with them soon! Eventually a hedgehog named Peach will join my little household (I've got her cat-proof home, food, and accessories all purchased and waiting!) but breeder complications and the whole my-house-is-a-mess-of insulation,-paint,-and-drywall-dust thing means she'll have to wait a little a longer.

UPDATE: No animals in Antarctica thanks to the Antarctic Treaty and such... thus Pickle is staying with a friend temporarily, Pepper went to live with my sister permanently, and my third cat (which was still a kitten) is with my friend Lindsey and she gets to choose whether or not to return him or keep him. I did have Peach, and she was super adorable. She's now living with a man who really, really wanted one for his daughter but couldn't afford to pay full price at a breeder.

I work for an IT company you've never heard of unless you're in either France or the IT business writing marketing and sales proposals. Eventually I plan to open my own cat cafe wine bar somewhere in Cincinnati, Ohio

UPDATE: Hahaha. Well. No. I do not work there anymore. As previously alluded to, I live in Antarctica now. I work as a government contractor doing support work for the National Science Foundation's United States Antarctica Program. Basically, I wash dishes. But it's a blast. I am only here part of the year... I plan to spend the rest traveling the world!
