Diane Cullum's Profile
Sewing has been part of my life since I was a little girl. At about 8, I had my own mini machine and was making my own doll clothes patterns. As a teenager, I was sewing tartan onto my tennis shoes (remember the Bay City Rollers?) As I got older, I gained experience; I guess because I wasn't afraid to try different things. I've jumped into many projects from reupholstering a sofa, quilting, bridesmaid dresses, and home decor. When I finally had my daughter, my love of sewing revolved around my love for her. I focused on a Christening gown, outfits, blankets, bibs, and baby hair bows. She grew up in my sewing room, making flower gardens with my straight pins. Then I had my sweet little son and altered my thinking once again, adding duck towels, hats, rag quilts, and Marine costumes to my list of projects.
My children are quite a bit older now so I'm not sewing quite as much for them these…
