About

Since my earliest memory, I have loved to paint and draw. I always knew that I wanted to be an artist.
In my very early years I had paint by numbers, elementary school I chose art class over flute lessons, glad I did. High school I took as many different art classes as I could. College I learned the art of oil painting where I learned to work with material, canvas, brushes, oil paints and medium. Thats where I learned the love of listening to music while painting. The rythmn of music somehow helps with the strokes of painting.
Twenty years ago I was working in oils and producing horses portraits. I put down my oil paint brush for a few years but the last few years have gotten serious about my art again.

I have been painting all my life, but not always fine art or canvases. Currently I am working in clay making sculpted dog and horse pendants. I am also producing fine art paintings and drawings.
I have a desire and need to create art, its in my heart and in my head and I have to let it out and express it on canvas or other creative pieces. I have a special feeling when I pick up a long handled paint brush, its joyous familiar feeling.
I live in the Northern Shennandoah Valley of Virginia, its my daily inspiration. The rolling hills, mountains, grassy fields, stone walls, old buildings, horse and dairy farms, make the artist in me excited to create. Making others happy is another one of my passions. Creating art that others can enjoy is a full-circle for me as an artist.
I have two Welsh Corgi friends, hence the studio name. I love the Welsh Corgi breed, fun dogs, lots of heart and usually highly trainable.
Dogs, horses, the Shennandoah Valley, all of these inspire me to create lasting works of art.
