About

Typothecary Letterpress was founded in 2011 by Megan Zettlemoyer. Her love of letterpress began with a trip to the Lancaster Heritage Center Museum where she watched a demonstration and experienced her first taste of the reclaimed printing technique. For the graphic design program graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, it was love at first sight. Having already possessed the groundwork and understanding of what it takes to create and design, Megan shifted her focus to learning the intricacies and nuances of the physical printing process. Shortly after attending an array of classes and workshops from multiple instructors and print shops along the east coast, she quickly set out to begin her own printing venture with the purchase of a 10 x 15 Chandler and Price printing press.
