Renee Lavinsky's Profile

About

When life hands you bills, make jewelry. UglyKittyRedeux uses recycled security-lined envelopes to make jewelry in every pattern imaginable. Late at night, Renee puts on a DVD and begins sorting through piles of security envelopes generously donated by Washington Gas, Comcast, AT&T, and Wells Fargo (as well as friends and family). She selects the most interesting patterns, coats them with sealer, and selects a silver-plated bezel. A little more sealer, some resin, and solder, and each bezel become the basis for earrings, or maybe cufflinks, or even a necklace, or perhaps a bracelet, or what about a ring?

UglyKittyRedeux is the sister store of http://uglykitty.etsy.com. Here I will be featuring items made from reclaimed and recycled materials.
