Brandon Becker's Profile
I grew up on one of the last few small dairy farms that are family run. Ever since my dad allowed me some space in a small shed on his farm to start a woodshop, my skills and interest in different aspects of woodworking have grown tremendously. This is where my roots lie, but I have since been uprooted, found myself graduating from Luther College, and teaching English to middle school students in Minneapolis. Uprooted from the countryside and wandering to the city. Now, as a recently married man, we've decided to make a fresh start by moving (again) to Chicago to make the most of "the city of broad shoulders."
I love the city and all its spectacle, but my roots still yearn for home, which is why I brought all my hand tools and my trusty Dremel scroll saw up to my apartment to keep my earthy, rustic passions alive by working with wood…
