About

I have a passion for glass that I hope to share with you here. I love the solitude of working at the torch, the way the glass melts and flows, and the sheer magic of turning a blob (I believe that is the technical term!) of glass into a tiny little treasure! I also love the way any silly little thing can inspire a bead - coffee cups, fabrics, even smells!

I live in the middle of Washington State (shop local at The Sun Dog Bead co.!) with my fabulous husband and 3 amazing daughters. I make all my beads in the incredible home office/studio my husband built for me. If you would like to learn more about me or see pictures of my studio - please check out vedasbeads.co

I've recently begun spending 6 months a year in Belize. I love it here! We've been traveling here for vacations for years and eventually hope to move here full time…

More Info:
Each lampwork bead is lovingly handmade in my beautiful studio that my incredible husband built for me in our home in Wenatchee, Washington. I am proud to be a Self Representing Artist - Number J-11. This means that the beads you see here are individually hand made by me with a lot of time and love! You can read more about me and see pictures of my studio at Vedasbeads.co.

All my beads are made with Moretti/Effetre, Vetrofond, ASK, Precision 104, Double Helix, CIM glass and now Caliente cane. I do occasionally play with Momka’s Boro glass, but that will be noted in the listing. I make all my beads on 3/32 mandrels (unless otherwise noted). All beads go straight from flame to kiln and are fully annealed in a digitally controlled Chili Pepper kiln. Annealing ensures your treasures will be around for a long time! (However, please keep in mind they are still glass and will break if not treated appropriately.) Each bead is then inspected for quality and carefully cleaned with a Dremel tool with a diamond bit.
