From the courts of Europe to the natural settings of the Bohemian came Victorian Boho. And, Victoria gave the settings of the wealthy to lesser metalsmiths to create jewelry for the common women. I like music, water color and writlng and like to bring together the two styles of Victorian and Boho in the new lines of my jewelry. It seems to me that there is a kindred spirit in the Victorian --Go with instinct and the Boho --Forget the Rules. I started my jewelry business 18 years ago selling 6" Victorian stickpins which came out in Victorian Papers after my pins were designed and sold.

To my viewers and customers who enjoy Victorian living and styles and my fellow brothers and sisters who are Boho. About

I love the tea parties and Christmases of Victorian Times and I really work on relationship all the time. What I am trying to do is upgrade the level of the Victorian from my background in Victoriana. I have a degree from TCNJ and Victorian Literature was one of my most valued courses. My original name and trade name for my business is Victoriana Originals. Because I am making natural necklaces some contemporary I chose Boho to add to my original Etsy name, which was Victoriana Glam 9. Probably better, hummm. I do all the photography myself, including the logo and ikon.

I have always had a second workplace in the fashion industry. Being a hop-skip-and a jump away from NYC, there are seven megamalls in Bergen County, NJ

The 1880's were the women's liberation era and there were no wars in England.
The Victorian Era became The Romantic Era. Believably The French and Mediterranean shared in the Romantic Era , and many nations followed the new "Bohemiens"-- Bohemians --unconventional,fame without publicity, Musicians, Artists and Writers. Although the Victorians were artistic and musical --it was at home and in their gardens and tea, using the scraps of hand sewing (chatalains in their sewing rooms were pinned to their waists for needle holders, thread, scissors AND small flasks) to create clothes, gifts and cards and children's toys! Women and children and small animals were doted upon.

The jewelry styles of the courts were passed down to lesser metalsmiths and the common women were granted jewelry by Peaceful Victoria. The English were already trading with the Native Americans and fringe and feathers and beads brought all the artisans from frugal to extravagance.

Finally, I go to NYNOW--the international gift fair in NYC four times a year at the famous Jacob Javits Center, designed to reflect the glassed in Victorian Promenades of England--especially Victoria Station. I take workshops, shop as a wholesaler and retailer, especially in the handmade section and see What's New in NY every year,on the Hudson River. NY is sultry and exciting, like Victorian, Gothic, Boho. And,Greenwich Village--downtown Manhattan --is for the styles of the artisans. New York gave me new ideas on how to use stringing as a new line of Boho Jewelry. The elaborate designs of the Victorian--London, Paris, Milan, Beijing and many other fashion centers of the world combined with the natural and precious stones and beads, leather cording Boho to create an ambience of a Victorian Boho (Chic) . Villages like New York's Greenwich Village, London's Picadilly Square and Sacre Cour of Paris have popped up around the world. And, the people of Bohemian--in out of the way places.

I am a Secondary English Teacher.Victorian Literature and writiing poety are my forte, I love the life I've lived and worked. I wanted a website for after 25 years of teaching and then again I worked in business too. I'm satisfied with what I do and have skills in marketing from business.

April of 2014 marked 570 years of Bohemians--a place where friends and lovers meet for creativity in the arts and crafts and a unique style. Victorianism was so prudish and uptight that women finally chose more freedom. Please feel free to browse Victorian Boho. And don't forget to notice the free packaging (and freedom of style).
