Growing up on a dusty prairie farm, I played among antiquated machinery, established forts in old graineries, decorating them with licence plates, telephone pole insulators and rusty treasures gleaned from the farm "junk pile".
I'm more than accustomed to hearing, "What in hell are you going to do with THAT?!" as I walk on with a smirk on my face, treasure in hand.
I love history ~ anyone's history ~ and get just the slightest high from discovering the most ancient of books, photos and ephemera at garage sales and auctions.
