About

Welcome to Vintage Heist where we heist all things vintage from other eras and bring them into today.

We're essentially a duo made up Andrej and Milica - best friends, husband and wife and co-heisters. Being prodded by family while growing up to pursue standard, academic careers (ie. Politics, Market Analysis and Education), we both found we were lacking a sufficient outlet for creativity. Purchasing a home from the early 1900s a few years back in Philadelphia filled that void temporarily. We spent many glorious hours re-modeling and decorating and we loved every minute of it!

Unknowingly, buying our home opened the door to something we had only sort of dreamt of... to do interior decorating despite no formal training. As neighbors and friends who visited our home gushed about loving everything, we figured everyone…

As neighbors and friends who visited our home gushed about loving everything, we figured everyone was just being super nice, as one should be when visiting someone's home.

Low and behold, we were utterly surprised (in a good way) when we got a call from a friend of a friend to help them decorate their new home. And then another call. And then another. One of the things everyone we worked with was excited about was the collection of "things" we had in our basement that they got to choose from - years of vintage items collected from auctions, flea markets, thrift stores... Well it's that excitement about our "things" from friends, neighbors and friends of friends and neighbors that led to this shop on etsy!

Our interior decorating "business" hasn't led to writing off our full-time jobs (yet), but in the meantime we are so excited about joining the etsy community!

Thanks for visiting!

UrbanHeist, a second shop on Etsy where we're featuring our handmade as well as up-cycled, re-purposed, recycled, refurbished, etc.(!) offerings opened on April 11th.
