That little avatar photo at the left is me when I was about three years old, opening the best Christmas present I'd ever received - a Baby Strawberry Shortcake Blow Kiss Doll. That look on my face is the reason I love, appreciate, collect, and re-home vintage today! I've always wanted to live in a shrine of 80s memorabilia!

After cleaning out my grandma's house when she passed away in 2008, I found myself with many vintage pieces of all kinds. She was a packrat just like me! In her 96 years on this planet, she accumulated a lot of interesting things. Likewise, my parents have kept just about anything my sisters and I ever received from the 70s and 80s. They're looking to sell their house and move to a smaller one, so now I'll be helping them by selling many of these items, as well as thinning out their collection of 50s-80s housewares and home decor. I've had my own collection of 80s memorabilia growing for many years, and have finally convinced myself to let some of it go. They all need new homes!

Vintage Orphanage consists of items that belonged to me in the 1980s, older items that belonged to my grandma in her 96 years on the planet, my parents' items from the 1950s-1980s, and the occasional thrift store find that I've rescued from destruction, cleaned up, and given a second chance at a good home.

This shop is entirely dedicated to my vintage items. It stemmed from my original shop, http://ArtWeekend.etsy.com, which will now solely hold my own art, photography, and (non-vintage) supplies. (I did used to sell vintage there also. Please check my positive feedback score and buy with confidence at both shops!)

Prior to discovering Etsy, I used to sell my collections on eBay. Technically that actually means I've been rehoming vintage since 2002, not 2007. I may still list an item or two on eBay from time to time, under the the name pepperdog98.
