About

Well you see.....

I developed a love for vintage as a teenager.

In fact, it was entirely by accident.

I was homeschooled.

So of course I was nerdy. Not the cool, trendy nerdy of now-a-days. The true, painfully innocent kind of NERDY. The kind where it's sometimes a trial to look back and see pictures of my 13-yr old self.

I had a single parent, and a younger brother so we were always low on money.

Cue the "I do my shopping at Goodwill/consignment shops" versus "the mall" like my other friends…

Favorite materials

If it includes an interesting shade of orange and feels like its been lovingly stored in an attic for 40 years, then chances are, its probably my favorite material

Cue the "I do my shopping at Goodwill/consignment shops" versus "the mall" like my other friends.

Shopping at yard sales and consignment shops brought me into contact with all sorts of clothing about 20 to 30 years my senior. I realized that I may not have the newest or trendiest clothing, but the clothing I DID get was very UNIQUE and definitely one of a kind. The pluses were:

* It didn't shrink after I washed it.
* It was made well, and chances were---no one else I knew had anything like it.
* No sweatshop labor.
*It didn't have a Gap or AE label he he

I slowly became known for having a quirky, vintage closet filled with odds and ends. A wide spectrum of colors/patterns and fabrics.

Before I knew it, even when I had a job at age 16 and had the cash to finally shop at the mall....I found myself critiqing everything on the racks!

So thanks to my mom, my upbringing and my homeschooling (which allowed me to develop my own sense of style - free from the judgement of peers)..... I developed a love of all things vintage and kitschy at a tender age.

I started selling vintage on Ebay about 10 years ago. Then when I discovered Etsy which allowed me to really make it more personal, I hopped on board as soon as I could.

So here I am.

I hope you enjoy my shop. Even if you never purchase anything, I hope you enjoy popping in from time to time to see what's new. Cause lets face it, sometimes window shopping is just more fun....
