About

I started experimenting with sewing and drawing at a very young age, but then later focussed on academic subjects throughout my education. After leaving school I worked many jobs, and also studied a wide variety of media and gained employment as a glass engraver, which required training in calligraphy as well as disciplined and accurate drawing skills as briefs were highly specific, varying from a coat of arms one day to a favourite pet the next!
Painting and drawing remained a serious sideline over the years, and during the year prior to the birth of my youngest daughter I took the opportunity to study Art and Design seriously and attained Advanced Level.
My work began to evolve at this point towards working three-dimensionally and experimenting with mixed media techniques, textile applications and exploration. When I returned to full time work I opened a small shop selling my own work and that…

When I returned to full time work I opened a small shop selling my own work and that of other local artists and continued to develop new skills.
After several years at this I took time out to focus on my family and continued to explore and study creative design alongside.
I then worked for a couple of years designing and making wedding tiaras, jewellery, and specialist headdresses for a local bridal house - including a design which was commissioned by Anna Friel for a wedding scene in a movie filmed in Cornwall which was very exciting to do!

I am now a full-time artist/designer with a fabulous small workshop/store in sunny Cornwall.

I have work in selected shops and galleries in the UK and Europe.
It is my inspiration to combine my art and textile skills with my ideas for jewellery and clothing, with a focus on re-used and re-claimed items ,in a range wearable one-off artworks.
I am also currently working on a series of fantasy art paintings which will be available as prints and cards-check back soon for more updates!
