Marisa Vumbaca's Profile

About

I've been working in clay since 2010, a continuation of a twenty year creative process. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design in 1991 and have worked as a trompe L'oeil muralist and watercolor painter over the years. I’ve always been drawn to art that is also functional. The wine charms developed from the immediate necessity to identify the wayward wine glass (most often mine). The letter stamping has that sense of romance found in old type and letterpress, which is why I choose to include it in my work as much as possible.
Thanks for visiting my shop. Happy exploring,
Marisa Vumbaca
