I am a Lanzarote Government approved Artist. Lanzarote lends itself to the Arts of all kinds. I find much inspiration from living on the Island, which is covered with volcanoes and every colour you could ever think of, in the volcanic flows.Trees here are scarce, so I make the best of every piece of wood that I get. Just a magical Island !!!

My main aim is to produce pieces that will be loved and handed down through generations to come, at a price that will also make the customer happy.

My main aim is to produce pieces that will be loved and handed down through generations to come, at a price that will also make the customer happy.

I only ever use wood from Lanzarote ( which is beautifully grained ), I let it dry and cure in our lovely sun, nothing more natural than that ! I do not buy ready made woods from anywhere, the trees have come down due to storm winds and natural causes. The main woods that I get here are Brazilian and Californian Pepper wood. (Schinus Terebinthfolius and Schinus Molle ), these are lovely trees to work with, the Californian especially as it has a deep grain colouring and makes great bowls, lidded boxes and vases. I also, on occasions, get some Acacias, lots of Eucalyptus, Pine, Riga ( a sort of pine, but very hard ), Willows, Mimosa and Jacaranda. Most of these trees thrive in hotter countries.

No tree is ever cut down for the purpose of my work, they have all had to be cut down due to old age, roots breaking walls etc.. I also make use of the smaller branches for spinning tops, key rings, honey dippers, goblets etc., nothing goes to waste.

I hope that you enjoy browsing through my Etsy shop.

I like to accept custom orders too, these help the concentration, when someone else has requested a specific size, shape etc. Lacquered finished items would have to be a custom item, I usually use waxes and oils, so that the wood is still tactile, not just the lacquered feel.

I have a few quick videos of me working at :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqDn9F7p0YM I am due to make some videos on bowl and vase turning soon. I do not like talking on video, so sorry I try to avoid it. Enjoy anyway.

PAYPAL :-
I accept payments via PayPal, Cheque, bank transfers and money orders. I post pieces within 24 hours of receipt of monies.

Please leave feedback, it is very helpful to me, to know what you think, good or bad.
