I moved to south Louisiana fresh out of college. My first exposure to the wetlands of Louisiana was a canoe trip into the Honey Island Swamp.

Nearly 30 years later I have paddled via canoe or kayak many of the states bayous, swamps, marshes and rivers. I came to love these beautiful wetlands and the wildlife that inhabits them.

Even now as I live in the high arid mountains of New Mexico, I still have a love and a heart connection to the wild backwaters of Louisiana. With my jewelry designs I hope to keep that connection alive.

I enjoy birding, hiking, backpacking and anything else I can do outside. Many of the animals I search out to use in my jewelry come from these activities.
