About

A little bit about me....

I am a self-taught artist that thankfully came from a strong line of women who had an appreciation and respect for handcrafted items. I grew up watching my mother and other close family members craft things with their hands and developed a deep respect for the amount of love and time that goes into each piece created. I developed a deep love of art and its unique beauty while finding peace, relaxation and comfort. Although I have always loved art and handcrafted items I didn’t start my creative journey until 2002. I enrolled in a simple beaded class and then started making beaded jewelry. From there my art and creative flow has transformed and taken many different turns. I have started working with several different mediums but my favorite thus far is glass.

I am inspired by nature, people and various cultures,…

I am inspired by nature, people and various cultures, color and music. I like to create art that is whimsical in its design that will bring joy and lift your spirit. It is my intention that my inspiration from nature come across in my art and in the display of my art while selling it. My greatest joy is watching people look at my art and see the expression change on their face while interacting with it. I believe it’s important to shop locally as much as possible and it’s very important to me to uplift and support other artists. I try to support my local shops as much as I can by purchasing my supplies from them.

Besides Etsy, my work can also be found on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/whimsicaljewels Since the spring of 2011, I have been honored to be a part of a FABULOUS art show called Whimsical Women, located in Pfafftown, NC in the fall and in Chapel Hill, NC in the spring.

I have found a deep sense of self by creating and love to pay tribute to the natural beauty in this world through my creative expression. Each piece of art I make, whether it’s a pair of earrings or a piece of stained glass, is created with love and created with the intention of bringing balance for myself as well as the person purchasing it. I love creating things but much more than that I love the joy it brings to others when they receive it.

Cheers to finding balance and always creating harmony in this world.
