About

My name is Beth and, at 50, I decided to learn a new craft. I have an MFA from Indiana University in Photography and Book Arts. However, after knitting for almost 15 years, it seemed to make the most sense to learn how to create yarns! So I did. Over winter break, I called the nearest fiber shop that I could find, made an appointment, and drove 2.5 hours each way to learn from them whatever I could. When I returned, I had my first drop spindle, lots of different wools to play with, and some lumpy yarn to show that I actually made myself. It was less than two weeks later when I started looking for a spinning wheel. And the rest of the story is what you see here in my Etsy Store. When I am not spinning or dyeing yarns, I am a single mother to a beautiful 23yo daughter and a clinical psychologist creating rehabilitation programs for combat veterans at our local hospital.
