Wickerville's Profile

About

I started Wickerville almost thirty years ago, creating and designing hundreds of pieces of miniature Victorian style wicker furniture consisting of constantly evolving ideas and techniques, forever improving on classic designs. My work has traveled the world and have been featured in numerous Miniature Boutiques, Press and Musuems. My selection varies from carriages to cribs, settees to parasols and from baskets to vanity stands.

Each item has been carefully researched, dating back to its time of origin, with its own unique and original design, capturing the era of the early twentieth century and its delicate style, while being blended with ideas of my own imagination.

Each wicker piece is authentic, there are no two alike. The detailed trimmings consist of materials that I have gathered from old scrap linens, lace and other knickknacks, dating back over generations; thereby allowing the memory of a special fabric to become reborn into the world on an entirely new scale.

My standard design is proportioned to a 1" scale, however I also create1/2". Recently I started creating pieces for Dolls 7-8", therefore creating pieces for "The Dolls Dolls."

I hope that if you should decide upon purchasing a piece, that it will only bring you as much enjoyment to hold and own as it did for myself to create.

Sincerely, Marie
