Hi! I'm Karon and I'm a maker of pretty things, photographer, gardener, decorator, traveller, reader, fabulous aunt, organizer, list maker, neat freak, laundry lover, loud laugher and a 'live and let live' kinda girl! For almost 17 years, teaching fulfilled most of my creative urges, personal goals and virtually ALL of my time. Then, what began as a short leave of absence became a life changer...I realized I didn't want to be the one looking back, wishing I had been brave enough to leap. So, I lept. Wild Woman (she who listens to her heart) took on new life - a surge of creative energy, renewed enthusiasm and alot of stumbling around in the dark ensued and I've loved every minute!…

a little bit about each collection...

* beach woman
romance...simplicity...elegance...purity... inspired by windswept beaches, rolling sand dunes, worn white picket fences, wild roses, tumbled seaglass, sparkling water and nature's coastal hues, I am thrilled to introduce the first pieces in my new collection of beautiful beach inspired jewelry.

* b l o o m e r s
These frilly, bold and bright artisan created lampwork glass disks and beads in bold colors are mixed with sterling silver and joined to allow lots of movement ~ bloomers. Each pair is ONE-OF-A-KIND!

* Simplify
complicated is not always better...simple lines, beautiful beads, handmade ear wires...that’s all.

* gemmies
Here's the sparkle! beautiful semi-precious gemstones and elegant handformed sterling silver earwires
Gemmies ~ A Little Luscious Luxury

* Juicy
Color, color, color....

* Mostly Metal
I've recently been learning some metal working techniques and here you will find examples of my love of rings, working with metal and simple shapes - circles, hearts and stars. Read more about my growing pains and fun creating these pieces on my blog at www.wildwomanjewelry.blogspot.com .

* Industrial Mod
A few years ago, I saw the Broadway Musical, Rent-- I loved everything about it...the performance, music, and the amazing set. My passions for theatre, set design, and an industrial esthetic were completely satisfied in this artistic endeavor and it's inspired a number of my own creative undertakings-- most recently a line of jewelry using mixed metals and featuring clean lines, rustic finishes, bits of color and repurposed materials. I hope you enjoy them!

* Contemporary Series
...color, texture, fun...several earring designs mixing textured lampwork glass beads, coiled wire, sterling chain. Each design is named for a quality of the human spirit or just plain fun! Some of these pieces remind me of children’s paintings...bold, graphic, free.

* Soul, Sister
Bracelets, earrings and necklaces (many are ONE OF A KIND) inspired by beautiful quotes and exquisite, individually made, boro glass beads, vintage lucite or glass. I often hammer, oxidize and handpolish the metals for added depth, texture and shine. Borosilicate glass is unique in its strength, shine and durability. Boro glass has a very distinctive range of colors and is much more vibrant than softer glass.

Fun and inspiring handsculpted fine silver pieces made with precious metal clay are part of this collection.

* Little Black Dress
Have you seen those 'Wonder Woman Office Drawer Kits" that transform your daytime clothes into a spectacular Red Carpet Ensemble using only a paperclip and a tube of lipstick?!?
Little Black Dress to the rescue... The 'Little Black Dress' of your jewelry box, each piece in this collection will take you from jeans and a Tee to dinner on the town- and no phone booth required!

Thanks for visiting!
