One of my earliest memories as a little girl was wearing a black, silky, fringed shawl that my mother had. I can still see the delicate detail in the lace. I loved wearing it and I believe that is what has drawn me to fiber work. My first experience with yarn was when I was 7 or 8 years old and an aunt of mine taught me how to crochet. I made a potholder and never picked up another skein of yarn until I was 24. A very dear friend taught me how to cast on and make a knit stitch and I made a scarf. I have been in love with knitting every since.
I am first and foremost a follower of Christ. Two beautiful girls call me mom and I've been married to my bearded, guitar playing, gourmet cooking, soul mate for almost 2 decades.
