About

This shop features an ever-growing and changing selection of mainly vintage and antique glassware with some odds and ends thrown in here and there.

Wishing Wells Glass was started to help out an elderly neighbor and dear friend rehome some of his late wife's life-long collection of treasured items. She was an avid collector of many things and I literally have thousands of things I could list. Many, if not most of the items, have been sitting in a warehouse for at least 20 years.

I do not claim to be an expert in any one vintage subject, although I would say that I have a good working knowledge about many of them.

I spent countless hours learning about glassware and pottery with my neighbor, who was like a grandmother to me, and have also inherited her extensive book collection.

Since I am not a "professional" at this and don't have set hours to work at this, I list items when I have a few minutes, which is not always at the busiest time for viewing. I tend to be a night owl so I am often listing in the middle of the night or do a relisting remotely from my phone on a lunch break. So, I hope you check back frequently as I do try to add new listings at least every couple of days. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about an item and would also welcome additional information about something if you feel that I have unintentionally misrepresented something. I truly learn something new every day!

I personally collect the Sylvan (parrot) pattern of depression glass or anything vintage parrot; vintage western items; and lately, wishing well items, as an inspiration for my shop and to decorate my workspace.
