Heather Millott's Profile

About

My work lovingly resides in homes all over the United States, Canada, Germany and Ireland. I have been featured in Sanford Women's Business Examiner, Today's Primitive Home, and Ye Olde Witches Brew Magazine. My Vintage Cones were chosen for an ad in Celebrate 365, A magazine for the ornament enthusiast.

I have been an artist for almost 24 years. I guess I have always been "crafty" I have been creating ever since I was little. My favorite medium to work with is acrylics and mixed media altered art. I became shamelessly addicted to primitives and Halloween Folkart.

My style is Extreme Prim folk-art & Vintage with a touch of whimsy. A majority of my work is inspired from vintage postcards of yesteryear. Halloween is my favorite time of year.
I like primitives because they about preserving the past, showing a genuine warmth in your heart for a time that was not our own. It is about love for our ancestors and remembering the old ways. (like my grandmother from the old country) When we remember, salvage and hold on to the past we breath new life and respect in appreciating that which was loved long ago. My work which was inspired by my grandma, also inspires memories of her. My creations are dedicated to her.
