About

Welcome to WolfBANG! Bullets. My name is Rhonda (or "Ronnie") Robinson. I create everything you see in this shop myself. I believe the best gifts you can give are handmade by yourself, or purchased from an individual, rather than buying mass produced items and greeting cards from shopping centers. Everything sold here is Satisfaction Guaranteed. I am only a text message away and am willing to go the extra mile to make my customers happy!

About my creations~

I am inspired by wolves, werewolf lore, woods, Vikings, rune stones, genealogy, mystical things and places, fellow artisans!, paranormal romance novels :), Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones (books and movies), pirates, hoodoo, cemetery strolling, researching all kinds of things, New Orleans, herbs -- both magical and medicinal -- and more. I love music of all kinds, but I prefer to watch inspiring movies and shows while I work. Some of the DVDs I will watch repeatedly are: The Tudors - and anything Tudor related, The Wolfman, Ginger Snaps trilogy. The 13th Warrior, Game of Thrones, Dexter (haha not sure how this one "inspires" me), lots of dark, but not TOO scary movies.

My genealogical research and the research of "cousins" all over the world, says that I am Welsh (that bloodline was traced back to the ancient Gaelic tongue), Choctaw, Irish, Scottish, Norwegian and German. I am a mutt, but proud of every drop of blood I have gotten from my ancestors. I recently found out through a DNA profile that I am also Melungeon. I had never heard of it and had to read up on the Melungeon people and now I have just one more race to add to the mix to be very proud of!

I make jewelry and other art using wolf charms, feathers, bones, shells, beads, sticks -- you name it, and I will find a way to make something to wear from it. I have recently started making what I call Tribal Hair Hoodoo, using the treasures mentioned. Rest assured I am an animal lover and would never use materials in my art that an animal or bird was harmed to collect. I pick up feathers from the ground, but I also rescue them from being thrown away, when they are plucked from our Thanksgiving turkey. I believe that bones, feathers, and skins of all animals are things of beauty and Spirit, so I choose to honor the spirit of the animal-bird-human by making something of beauty from their many parts. At the moment, I am preparing to list my Enchanted Dragon Eggs. I start with a blob of polymer clay, mold it, bake it, dress it up with a magical mix of glaze and embossing glitter, then add to it a special charm for its symbolic meaning. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! :)

I do have a few small bones of which I do not know the origin. I tried to find out as much information as possible, and using what little I could find out, I felt perfectly fine using them. Besides, I know the person I received them from is sensitive to such things, which makes me love the bones even more.

I do use leather, and when possible, I offer alternatives, such as ball chain, hemp and the faux leathers and faux sinew (a natural colored waxed jewelry string).

I am involved in several environmental groups and try to stay informed on issues around the world. I believe we all can help, in our own way. I donate 10% of all sales from this shop, as well as bring petitions and information to everyone I can reach on the various social networking sites I am a part of. The most important and rewarding step I take to help wildlife and the environment is teaching my grand daughter every chance I get. Children are brilliant and their fresh little minds soak everything like a sponge. It is our responsibility to put worthy information before them, for as long as we are able.

Thanks to those of you who have used my creations in some of the coolest "treasuries" on Etsy! http://www.etsy.com/treasury/search/?search_query=wolfbangbullets&search_submit=&search_type=treasury&page=1

There you have it. I have told you more about me than some people in my life know. I hope you can respect my choices, as I respect yours. I enjoy using jewelry making and selling on Etsy, to teach my grand daughter about how donating helps others and the importance of caring for our beautiful planet. And I thank the Earth for giving me such beautiful materials to work with.

Thank you for taking your time to read this.
