Where does our name come from?

The raven is sometimes known as "the wolf-bird." The nickname is because of the strong interconnectedness the bird has with wolves. The raven will alert wolves of danger & seek wolves out to lead them to prey. The wolves do the same for ravens as ravens sometimes respond to wolf howls with calls of their own and vice versa, resulting in a concert of howls and calls.

Wolves and ravens also play together. A raven will sneak up behind a wolf and yank its tail and the wolf will play back.
