About

Hello,

Thanks for stopping by my Wood Shop and getting to know me. First I don't have customers. I have friends who I make things for. So if you see something you like or have something that you would like custom made feel free to holler at me. While you are at it tell me a little bit about yourself. I would rather make something for a new friend rather than just filling an order.

A little more about the games I make. On my hand made IRK / Aggravation games I use 3/4 inch thick plywood because I have found that thinner plywood’s have a tendency to warp over time and as such you will never find ½ inch thick plywood games in my store.

Each and every game I make is unique unto itself. No 2 games I make are identical. I invented and designed a marble catch into my game boards that…

I invented and designed a marble catch into my game boards that not only looks great but catches stray marbles if they roll out of he holes. I ask my fellow woodworkers to respect my designs and please don’t copy them. I don’t copy other woodworker’s designs as this in my opinion is simple wrong. Be original.

I use Made in America marbles as the quality of the marbles is far superior to those made in China. I don’t use MDF because I don’t like the manufacturing process used due to the chemicals used in making MDF. My fellow woodworkers, if you are using MDF please make sure you wear a respirator when cutting MDF.

A little more about the signs I make. Every sign I make is custom made by me one at a time. It takes me about 4-6 hours to make most signs. The lettering and images are first drawn by me then “deep cut/engraved/carved” into the wood using a router and finished using a mallet and chisel.

After the lettering and image has been cut into the wood I hand paint each letter, the image outline, and sometimes the image itself. Each sign is then given a minimum of 2 coats of polyurethane as well as a wall mounting system. All signs are signed and dated by me prior to shipping.

My outdoor signs are ALWAYS made out of treated wood or CEDAR to insure the sign will last in the elements. Note: Care for outdoor signs is pretty simple. To insure they last a long time I use multiple coats of outdoor spar polyurethane (Helmsman). Every 4-5 years outdoor signs should be cleaned using a damp rag lightly sanded with 220gr sandpaper then given another coat of spar polyurethane (Helmsman).

My Wood Signs can be custom made to just about any size and shape using most fonts. I believe in recycling, as such ALL of the items you see in my shop are 100% made from reclaimed, or recycled wood. Reclaimed wood meaning wood left over from carpenter friends of mine, recycled meaning wood that was harvested by "me" using my personal chainsaws, sawmill, bandsaw, and planer… Note: I never cut live trees to make wood signs.

Some of the Games and Toys I make I suspect might end up being used by Children although I intend for my games to be used by adults only. As such I use QUALITY NON-TOXIC paints, stains, and finishes. No China made lead paint here.

On my game boards if I don't have what you are looking for please ask. There are so many variations of game boards and layouts that it is mind boggling,

I hope to hear from you and perhaps make you that special one of a kind item.

I support MADE in the USA...
